Cabrini Heath invites you to become an integral part of our health care mission by supporting the Cabrini Foundation.
The Cabrini Foundation supports the work of Cabrini Health by pursuing funding for education and research, capital funding (equipment & buildings) and our social outreach programs. As a not for profit, private health care facility, Cabrini receives no direct government funding.
The Foundation’s work is essential in ensuring that Cabrini can continue to provide a wide range of vital health care services for our community - which we have done now for over 60 years.
Each day Cabrini treat hundreds of patients – many for cancer or heart disease – while others come to our Emergency Department, surgical day treatment and rehabilitation services. We deliver babies and treat children in our paediatric Unit. Our palliative care services ensure that those who are terminally ill receive the care and comfort they need, while respecting their dignity. At Cabrini Malvern, our Intensive Care Unit is working to capacity and our theatres are always full.
The Cabrini Foundation enjoys strong leadership from a dynamic committee and commitment from a professional fundraising team.
The income generated through the Cabrini Foundation supports:
- Research – to achieve excellence and improve patient care
- Education – Cabrini is a teaching hospital for the next generation of doctors and nurses
- Purchase of vital life saving equipment
- Outreach – providing aid to the disadvantaged in our local and international communities.
Cabrini’s reputation for excellence in health care has been forged by the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers and importantly our supporters and benefactors. This has enabled us to keep up with the technological advances while at the same time developing state of the art medical facilities for the community.

Regular / Pledge giving
You may wish to support our life saving work by contributing towards education and research or purchasing new equipment, on a regular (monthly, quarterly or annual) or a one off basis.
A Gift in Celebration
Instead of presents, why not ask your guests to honour your special occasion through a donation to Cabrini Health. Their gift can make an enormous difference in the lives of many.
Memorial Funds
Families sometimes choose to establish a fund named in memory of a loved one with funds directed to a service specified by the family. How does it work? It’s simple. When making funeral arrangements, just advise the funeral director that, in lieu of flowers, you would like friends and family to be able to make a donation to the fund at the funeral service. The Cabrini Foundation will notify families of the amount raised and the names and addresses of all those who contributed.
Bequests
You may wish to consider leaving a lasting legacy, ensuring that your generosity will help provide vital life saving care. A bequest in your Will is a gift to future generations. The process is relatively straightforward and your solicitor can assist in making the necessary arrangements.
Corporate Partnership (Cabrini Corporate Circle)
Corporate and local businesses are warmly invited to contact us with a view to partnering with Cabrini and sponsoring our work. Cabrini Corporate Circle provides a number of benefits including networking opportunities with other corporate sponsors, an annual cocktail party and end of year function with senior management.
A Living Endowment
Support capital projects or services at Cabrini Health through major gifts. Naming rights opportunities exist for buildings and departments. The Foundation actively works with our partners to ensure mutual benefits and relevant outcomes are achieved for all parties.
Prescribed Private Funds
A prescribed private fund is a trust to which business, families and individuals can make tax-deductible donations. It is prescribed by law. The fund may make distributions only to other deductible gift recipients that have been either endorsed by the ATO or are listed by name in the income tax law.
