Background
Cabrini Health's nurses are renowned for their professionalism and compassion. Patients regularly report high levels of satisfaction regarding the intuitive and professional care provided by our nurses.
In 2011, Cabrini Health will launch its Inaugural Nursing Excellence Awards, in order to recognise, celebrate and encourage excellence in nursing care. The awards will be inaugurated on Friday, 13 May 2011.
The new awards will acknowledge the excellence, hard work and dedication of our nursing staff. Also, they will support the strategic goals of the Cabrini Health Nursing Services Plan 2010-12. That is, 100 per cent right care, 100 per cent patient satisfaction and 100 per cent nurse engagement.
For the first time, patients will be given the opportunity to nominate nurses who go above and beyond their duties to provide excellence in nursing care. There will be three award categories for those who have demonstrated excellence in:
- Nursing (Individual)
- Midwifery (individual), and
- Work team
The Awards will be presented at a special ceremony at the Malvern Town Hall on Friday, 13 May 2011 at 2.00 pm.
