Cancer Patients Sought for Survey

As part of a Masters in Psychology (Health Psychology), we are conducting research to explore the relationship between psychological distress and harmful behaviours, such as self-harm, alcohol consumption and eating attitudes in cancer patients.

The research will also aim to explore factors in relation to the way cancer patients manage distressing emotions and perceive feelings of control over their situation.

We are seeking participants 18 years and over with a cancer diagnosis in the last five years to complete an anonymous survey online at the following website address: http://spppm-cf.med.monash.edu.au/surveys2010/elisco/

Alternatively you can provide your postal address to the researcher requesting a hardcopy of the survey which can be returned via the accompanying reply paid envelope.

Paper and pencil questionnaires will be available for Cabrini Malvern and Brighton patients. Once completed, please return questionnaire in the reply paid envelope.

It is expected the questionnaire will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Participation in this study is entirely voluntary.
