Enrolled Nurse Novice Program
- Commencing on Monday the 22nd of August,2011
- Conducted at Cabrini Malvern
- Managed by the Education department in collaboration with clinical nursing staff
- The program focuses on providing a supportive environment to facilitate the transition for Enrolled Nurses entering the acute setting
Aims of the Program are to help participants develop increasing competence and confidence in their professional role and to develop an increasing willingness to take on responsibility for practice, decision- making and further learning.
Working in partnership with Registered Nurses, this program aims to enhance theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the acute setting thus increasing the professional development and career diversity for Enrolled Nurses at Cabrini Health.
The program is conducted over fifty-two weeks (5 weeks annual leave included pro rata).
It commences with a two-week orientation block, focussing on the clinical competencies required in the role, followed by two six-month placements, ideally one medical and one surgical.

Specific application requirements need to include ALL of the following,

- Curriculum Vitae- Include three professional refers
- Clinical Assessments- Include a copy of all your clinical assessments (If they are greater than 6 pages, please just submit the last summary page).
- Passport sized photograph
