Nursing at Cabrini

Susan O' Neill, Executive Director of Nursing

Cabrini Health is one of the largest private health services in the country with six campuses and a proud Catholic, not-for-profit tradition of serving the community.

Our nurses comprise half of Cabrini Health’s 3,000 staff and we are proud of their work across the organisation.  They are a highly skilled team, vital to the delivery of quality care to patients, their families and the community.

With over 600 beds, and 64,000 patient discharges per year, Cabrini offers integrated services ranging from emergency and critical care to midwifery, Hospital in the Home, palliative care, home care, rehabilitation and aged care.

Our nurses are encouraged to assume leadership roles while receiving all the support Cabrini can offer.  Some choose to be involved in clinical research through our extensive partnerships with major universities, while others participate in voluntary outreach projects.  All participate in continuous professional development through a wide range of educational programs.

Every day our nurses demonstrate their commitment and dedication to Cabrini’s mandate of ‘compassionate, competent care’.
