Nursing Research
The Cabrini Deakin Centre for Nursing Research, headed by Professor Tracey Bucknall, is engaged in a comprehensive range of studies.
Investigators work closely with nurses across the organisation to implement research outcomes into clinical practice.
Studies have focussed on
- Hospital acquired infections.
- Decreasing medication errors in Australian hospitals
- At-home management of day patients following chemotherapy
- Prevention of pressure injuries
- Falls prevention and management.
At Cabrini, nurses have the opportunity to develop research skills through the Centre for Nursing Research.
