Nursing At Cabrini - Specialities - Maternity Unit
The Maternity Unit at Cabrini Hospital Malvern has four birthing rooms, 22 postnatal beds, a Level 2 SCN with five cots, HomeCare and breastfeeding clinics.
A variety of programs are offered to women and families in prenatal education, birthing, postnatal and parenting care.
Midwives work closely with the Obstetricians to provide the highest quality care.
Skilled midwives preceptor the junior staff and enhance clinical placements for midwifery students and undergraduate nurses. Midwives have the opportunity to work I all areas of the Maternity Unit and a structured education program is offered to all nurses.
