Nursing At Cabrini - Specialities - Paediatric Unit
The Cabrini Children's Centre often surprises young patients because of its colourful and innovative décor.
Specifically designed to make children and their families feel at ease, the patient rooms are well appointed with TV, DVD and video services available to each bed, as well as to the playroom and the post-operative lounge. Excellent facilities allow for parents to stay overnight.
Doctors’ consulting suites are adjacent to the Centre.
The Centre caters for most specialties, except Neurosurgery, Oncology and Cardiology. The majority of patients are admitted for elective surgery or via the Emergency Department. The Centre’s nurses are paediatrics trained and qualified. Students and graduates also rotate through the Centre.
