The Operating Suite
The Suite houses ten operating theatres and twenty PACU beds in a spacious, modern environment.
Providing a full range of surgical specialties, with over 1,000 operations each month, each theatre is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including heart-lung machines, anaesthesia workstations, intra-operative computer systems and the latest laparascopic and endoscopic equipment.
A Post-anaesthetic Care Unit of 20 monitored bays caters for all specialist requirements.

Students are fully supported and facilitated by a full time Nurse Educator.
The supportive team culture is enhanced by a Shared Governance Model, in-service education and a post-graduate perioperative course.

Day Procedure Centre
The Centre provides endoscopic, surgical and laser treatments and a variety of surgical specialties including ophthalmic, urological, plastic and oral surgery.
Equipped with the latest technology, all areas are fitted with hydraulic pendant systems that elevate equipment to eye level.
Nurses are encouraged to work in all areas to broaden their skills and knowledge of the Day Procedure Centre. A Perioperative Educator and preceptors are available to assist with educational and on-going professional development.

CSSD
CSSD has the latest technology including an Air-glide decontamination system, significantly reducing manual handling. Large assembly and storage areas provide an optimum working environment.
All staff are fully supported by a Perioperative Educator to provide orientation and in-service education.
