Cabrini Ashwood was purpose built and opened in 2001. We have a daily maintenance service for routine repairs; and a scheduled planned maintenance program to ensure safety of home, and ensure high standard of living environment. We have a daily cleaning service in each area.
In our general high care area there are shared rooms with two beds and shared ensuite. Residents can go on a waiting list for a single room.
In our extra services high care area, low care area, and dementia unit all residents have a single room with ensuite.
All residents are provided with a telephone in the room. Costs of calls made from the phone are invoiced monthly.
Within reason we encourage you to make the room your own. So furniture and artwork from home can be brought in to decorate and individualise the room. There needs to be adequate room for resident to move around safely and for staff to manouevre equipment and to be able to clean adequately. We provide electronic high/low bed, bedside table, chair and chest of drawers.
Meals are cooked on site in our kitchen. There are four dining areas - one in each care unit. Breakfast is served to the bedroom. Lunch and Dinner are served in the dining rooms, tray service is provided on request. Visitors can purchase meals, this is arranged at reception. A dietitian reviews all residents to ensure special dietary needs are catered for.
Our staff are committed to the Mission and Values of Cabrini. Our values are demonstrated in the way we care for the residents. We believe that this is a community and that we should reach out with compassion, love and respect to all those who live, work and visit our aged care home.
All our staff have been trained and are qualified to complete their duties at the highest level of skill and competence. Each shift in each unit will have a minimum of one registered nurse division 1 or endorsed enrolled nurse in charge, and a team of enrolled nurses and personal care attendants providing resident care. Our Personal Care Attendants have Certificate 3 qualification in aged care.
