I am a medical oncologist trained in treating all solid tumours. I have a particular interest in breast cancer and brain tumours, and am a lead investigator on a number of studies focusing on improving survival in patients with brain tumours.
I graduated from the University of Queensland, before undertaking further training in Melbourne and obtaining my fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Medical Oncology. I trained at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Alfred, St Vincent’s and Cabrini Hospitals. During this time, I also completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Medicine, and has commenced a Doctorate with St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and University of Melbourne. I have published several articles and presented my research at national conferences. I am a member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia; Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology; Australian and New Zealand Urological and Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Group; Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group; American Society of Clinical Oncology. I have research interests in neurological, breast, and gastrointestinal malignancies, and development of new innovative drug treatments.
