I am an internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in knee and hip surgery. I have a particular interest in sporting injuries including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, multi-ligamentous knee reconstruction, hamstring injuries and hip arthroscopy. In addition, I care for patients with degenerative conditions, such as knee and hip arthritis, and performs both knee and hip replacements.
I have chosen to pursue a career in academic orthopaedic sports surgery, and have carried out three years of fellowship training. The first year was a research fellowship at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute. I then carried out a clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto in sports surgery. Finally, I completed two clinical fellowships in Melbourne; the first was a knee reconstruction fellowship at OSV and the second a fellowship in hip arthroscopy at Hip Arthroscopy Australia. My practice is underpinned by evidenced based methods and rigorous clinical follow-up. I am currently Director of Research of the OrthoSport Victoria Research Unit.
