Welcome to Cabrini Hopetoun

Cabrini Hopetoun has reopened to provide care to patients from aged care facilities. This is part of a state-wide response, to help contain the spread of infection within the aged care sector.

All transfers to Cabrini Hopetoun are being coordinated by the Department of Health and Human Services. Unfortunately, Cabrini is unable to accept direct admissions or requests from aged care residents or their families to be transferred to Cabrini Hopetoun – please speak to the manager of your aged care facility about whether this could be coordinated for you or your loved one.

We understand that a change in environment can cause uncertainty and stress, and our team has been working hard to ensure a smooth transfer for all residents who transition to our care, and their families.

We have stringent infection control processes to ensure the safety of our patients, residents, staff and community, and our dedicated team is well-equipped to manage infectious diseases, including coronavirus. Our staff are well prepared to care for our community in this dedicated facility, which has been repurposed so we can provide the most appropriate care at this time.

For more information about the evolving coronavirus situation, please refer to Cabrini’s dedicated webpage or the DHHS website.

Rehabilitation service

Cabrini’s rehabilitation service, previously located at Cabrini Hopetoun, will continue operating from our Brighton hospital at this time. Learn more about Cabrini Brighton.

Please speak to your treating team if you have any questions about this change of location.
