SHORT BIO
Dr Manuja Premaratne is a general cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist. He welcomes referrals for all cardiac conditions. He has a special interest in the management of chest pain, chest pain in women, inflammatory conditions of the heart and cardio-oncology.
Manuja is the head of cardiac imaging at Peninsula Health and one of only a few cardiologists with formal training in all cardiac imaging modalities (echocardiography, CT, MRI, and nuclear cardiology). He is passionate about the appropriate use of cardiac imaging and was invited to address the US Congress on “Appropriate Use Criteria in Cardiac Imaging” in 2014.
Manuja is actively involved in research, teaching and examining for the RACP physician exams and Monash University medical school. He holds an adjunct appointment at Monash University.
