SHORT BIO
Dr Steve Philpot is an intensive care specialist at Cabrini Hospital with a special interest in end-of-life care, organ and tissue donation, communication skills training, empathy in the workplace and health Law.
Dr Philpot is the national lead trainer for the Organ and Tissue Authority, the Convenor of the communication training program for the College of Intensive Care Medicine, convenor of the Cabrini Health “Shared Decision Making” and “Advance Care Planning Conversations” workshops, chair of the Cabrini Health End of Life Care Committee, and an adjunct senior lecturer at Monash University.
He has recently completed a Master of Health and Medical Law at Melbourne University. His other interests include playing guitar and piano, singing, walking his dogs, the Fremantle Football Club, and fiction writing.
