I am an Australian-trained consultant urologist and uro-oncologic surgeon with extensive experience in treating patients with urological conditions including kidney stones and urinary symptoms placing a strong emphasis on patient-centred care. I also have a special interest in urologic cancers, especially prostate cancer and offer personalised treatment to my patients including advanced robotic, laparoscopic and open surgery.
I completed my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) degree at the University of Bristol (UK) in 2006 and received membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS Ed) in Edinburgh (UK) in June 2008. I was awarded my PhD at the University of Melbourne for my work in advanced prostate cancers and obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Urology). I then undertook a 2-year fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, ranked the number one cancer centre in the US in advanced oncologic surgery including robotic, laparoscopy and open surgery through the highly competitive Society of Uro-oncology Fellowship program.
I serve as the deputy leader for the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) Genito-Urinary Oncology Special Advisory Group. I am on several advisory committees, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Victorian Surgical Committee and I actively engage in prostate cancer consumer groups for the benefit of the patients.
