Dr David Blusztein

I am a general and interventional cardiologist with a special interest in management of coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction and valvular heart disease. I have completed prestigious overseas fellowships in Structural Heart Disease at Columbia University Medical Center in New York (2021-2023) and the University of California, San Francisco (2020-2021), where I also trained in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Prior to these, I completed a two-year Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (2018-2020).

I have vast experience in performing coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Mitraclip, PFO closures, ASD closures and LAA occlusion. These techniques are all minimally-invasive. I have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and have presented at many international cardiology conferences. I have a public hospital appointment at Monash Health.
