Mr Jason Hockings

I am a Victorian-trained orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialist expertise in hip and knee surgery.

I completed my orthopaedic training in Victoria in 2021 and have since undertaken multiple post-fellowship training programs to further develop my skills and expertise. My additional training includes a Melbourne-based fellowship with Professor John O’Donnell, focusing on hip arthroscopy and anterior hip replacement, as well as advanced training in Edinburgh with a focus on complex and revision joint replacement and robotic-assisted techniques. I also completed an advanced arthroplasty and sports fellowship on the NSW Central Coast.

My surgical interests include hip replacement via the direct anterior muscle-sparing approach, hip arthroscopy, arthroscopic sports knee surgery, robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement, and subvastus (muscle-sparing) advanced kinematically aligned knee replacement surgery.

I am committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across both public and private settings, with a strong focus on hip and knee surgery.

I hold public appointments at St Vincent’s and Eastern Health. I consult and operate at Cabrini Malvern.
