A/Prof Kiarash Taghavi

I am a specialist paediatric urologist with extensive experience with minimally invasive and robotic surgery. I specialise in the treatment of hypospadias, undescended testis, hernias, hydrocele, urinary retention, chordee of the penis and bladder exstrophy complex.

I practice privately at Cabrini Malvern and hold a public appointment at Monash Children’s Hospital. I am an Associate Professor with the Department of Paediatrics at Monash University.

Having graduated from the University of Otago, I am a fully qualified surgeon under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Throughout my training I have worked at centres of excellence across Australia and New Zealand. Following this, I completed post fellowship work in paediatric urology at the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne. I have visited surgical centres across the UK and Europe, including Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and Hospital Necker-Enfants in Paris.
