Dr Priya Shenton

I am a general paediatrician with broad experience across all areas of general paediatrics, as well as significant expertise in mental health care. I am passionate about evidence-based medicine and take a holistic, family-centred approach to paediatric healthcare.

My outpatient interests include travel medicine and immunisation, and I play an active role in the FITS (Family Immunisation and Travel Specialists) clinic. I also manage a wide range of common paediatric conditions including eczema, asthma, and constipation. In addition, I have a strong interest in infant feeding and settling, and I enjoy supporting parents with breast, bottle, and mixed feeding approaches. I am also experienced in supporting older children and adolescents experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges.

In the inpatient setting, I currently provide procedural sedation consultations and elective admissions for vaccinations and blood tests for young people with significant needle phobia. This service has received excellent feedback from families for the supportive and compassionate care provided by the entire team.
