Dr Vinay Bharatula
General Physician
I am a Melbourne-trained General Physician and Intensivist with a clinical interest in peri-operative medicine, bariatric medicine and management of multiple comorbidities.
Born and raised in Melbourne, I graduated from Monash University and completed physician training through The Alfred Hospital, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). I subsequently completed specialist training in Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM), including anaesthetics time, with training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Health.
I am a part-time PhD candidate researching fluid management and renal outcomes in patients receiving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and I am an Honorary Research Fellow at The Alfred Hospital.
I see patients requiring preoperative assessment and postoperative care by a physician. I work with surgeons across a range of specialties, including vascular surgery, general and colorectal surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, urology and thoracic surgery.
