Dr Sunny Sun

I am Dr Sunny (Ying) Sun, a Respiratory and Sleep Physician practising across Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. I completed my medical degree with Honours and a Bachelor of Medical Science at Monash University before undertaking specialist training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Alfred Health.

I assess and manage a broad range of respiratory and sleep conditions, with particular interests in sleep-disordered breathing, complex sleep disorders, excessive daytime sleepiness, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and the impact of obesity and weight changes on respiratory and sleep health.

I am committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centred care, emphasising clear communication and practical, individualised management. I am a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the Australasian Sleep Association (ASA).
