Mr Hamish Shilton

I am a specialist surgeon in Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and bariatric surgery. I also perform a wide range of general surgery procedures. In particular, laparoscopic hernia repair, cholecystectomy, benign and malignant UGI surgery including hiatus hernia repair for reflux and minimally invasive oesophagectomy.

For obesity, I consult at Complete Weight Loss Solutions and perform sleeve gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB). Most of my procedures are keyhole (laparoscopic) and I also perform robotic operations at Cabrini Malvern.

I completed two years of sub-specialty upper gastrointestinal surgery training through the ANZGOSA program in Auckland, New Zealand and Norwich, UK, working in high volume bariatric and oesophageal cancer units.

I work publicly at Monash Health, and privately at Cabrini Malvern.
