Mr Sam Farah
Vascular Surgeon
I am a vascular surgeon with special interest in the treatment of arterial disorders, including peripheral vascular disease, diabetic foot disease, carotid disease and aneurysmal disease. I perform minimally invasive arterial treatment for peripheral vascular disease and offer walk-in / walk-out procedures for varicose veins. I am a “no gap” provider for medically necessary arterial procedures.
I practice privately at Cabrini Malvern and publicly at major teaching hospitals, including The Alfred, Box Hill Hospital and The Austin where I am the current supervisor of vascular surgery training.
I graduated from Monash University with Honours in 2010, having won the Cabrini Hospital Staff Award for academic excellence whilst a medical student. After training for two years in general surgery at Monash Health, I began vascular surgery training in Queensland, at The Royal Brisbane, Women’s Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital. After returning to Melbourne, I completed rotations at Box Hill Hospital, Frankston Hospital, Alfred Health and finally at Monash Health. I am the recipient of the D.R Leslie Prize and Medal from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for the best trainee research paper, and the Marshall Prize in Surgical Training at Monash Health for further work in research.
