A/Prof Andy Ang

I am an upper limb orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in hand, wrist and elbow surgery. My practice spans the full spectrum of upper limb care, from the shoulder to the fingertips, including microsurgery and orthopaedic trauma.

To ensure my patients have access to the very best care, I have undertaken extensive training in Australia and internationally. After completing my medical degree at the University of Melbourne, I completed subspecialty fellowship training with internationally recognised hand surgeons in Sydney, Brisbane and the United Kingdom. I have also pursued further study at Oxford University, MIT, Harvard University and UC Berkeley, with the aim of bringing the best of what I learn back to my patients in Melbourne.

I believe world-class surgical outcomes should always go hand in hand with first-class, compassionate care. Every patient who comes to see me is facing something difficult, whether a sudden injury or years of living with pain, and my role is to help them feel informed, supported and confident about the care ahead.
