Mr Tim Schneider

I am a Melbourne-based orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in foot and ankle surgery, and I am privileged to be recognised as one of Australia’s most experienced specialists in this highly complex field. Following my orthopaedic training in Melbourne, I completed advanced fellowship training in the United States and Europe, combining international expertise with decades of clinical experience.

Throughout my career, I have been an early adopter of total ankle replacement, minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, and complex forefoot and bunion surgery. I continue to contribute to the advancement of the specialty through the development of a next-generation computer-guided ankle replacement technique in collaboration with leading centres in the United States and Europe.

I am passionate about educating the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons and remain actively involved in teaching, mentoring, and surgical education programs for surgeons from Australia and overseas.

My philosophy is that successful foot and ankle surgery extends beyond technical excellence. I believe every patient should be assessed as a whole person, with treatment tailored to their lifestyle, goals, overall health, and functional needs to achieve the best possible outcome.
