Cabrini Health is proud to support GenV, a new research project that aims to help improve long-term health and wellbeing for children and parents. GenV, led by the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute with partners and collaborators from across the state, includes all 65 birthing hospitals in Victoria.
The study will ask parents of newborns to share information about themselves and the health and development of their newborn, which will lead to better prediction, treatment and prevention of conditions that affect so many families.
From July, every family having a baby in Victoria, including at Cabrini, will be offered the chance to participate. Information will only be collected with consent and a GenV team member will talk patients through the process and answer any questions.
