Biography
Mr Vignesh Narasimhan is a highly specialised Colorectal and General Surgeon committed to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care for a broad spectrum of colorectal and general surgical conditions.
Mr Narasimhan’s medical expertise lies in managing colon and rectal cancer, rectal bleeding, haemorrhoids, fissures, hernias, gallbladder disease, pilonidal disease, appendix, and small bowel pathology, as well as skin lesions, carpal tunnel, and ingrown toenails. In addition, he is a GESA certified endoscopist offering both gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Mr Narasimhan completed general surgical training at The Alfred Hospital and subspecialty training within the colorectal training program (CSSANZ) at Fiona Stanley Hospital, and Monash Health, and a fellowship in robotic surgery and advanced colorectal oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
In addition to his roles at Monash Health and The Alfred/Sandringham Hospitals, Mr Narasimhan holds the position of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University. Mr Narasimhan is also actively involvement in research, with a portfolio comprising over 50 peer-reviewed publications and contributions to multiple book chapters.
