– Let’s build your career in care –

What you need to know:

  • We are accepting applications for Double Degree Graduates and direct-entry Midwifery Graduates
  • Direct Midwife Graduates will experience a 12-month program with ongoing contract – starting April 2027
  • Rotation between birth suite, post-natal and special care nursery
  • Candidates with double degrees will be stating in February and they will be provided with a graduate program recognising both degrees and the duration will be for 15-months with ongoing contact

What you need to apply:

  • Be-on-track for AHPRA registration as a registered midwife or nurse/midwife before February 2027
  • CV, including details of clinical placements undertaken and the dates they occurred
  • Two most recent clinical placement reports from birth suite and other midwifery area
  • Details of two recent acute placement clinical referees (including your final year) or if choosing a specialty program from that speciality (name, position title, email address)
  • Certified copes of your academic transcript (you can get these certified at your local chemist)
    (please provide the key to understanding these academic results)
  • An appropriate headshot photo for your ID badge
  • If applicable upload a copy of your visa
  • Upload your passport

Recruitment and other processes for Cabrini’s Graduate Nursing and Midwifery Programs are managed independently and do not participate in the PMC APS match process.

Through your 12-month or 15-month program and beyond, we will provide you access to 1:1 education to set you on the path to becoming confident in your practice and on your way to a successful career.

Operating out of the Gandel Wing at our Malvern hospital, you will have access to leading facilities, obstetricians and midwifery teams.

At the conclusion of the 12/15 month program you will transition into your second year post registration as a midwife or nurse/midwife.

Cabrini creates a raft of professional development opportunities to enhance their graduates year, including the chance to partake in post-graduate studies and other Transitions to Speciality Practices critical care areas. Our Graduate program alumni have also developed careers beyond midwifery, working in education, leadership, quality, compliance and corporate services.

How to apply

You’ll need the following before completing your application:

  • CV icon

    CV, including details of clinical placements undertaken and the dates they occurred

  • Nurse referee icon

    Details of two clinical referees – at least one of these references must be from your most recent clinical placement and birthing suite (name, position title, email address)

  • Academic transcript icon 2
