A/Prof Surein Arulananda

I am the Deputy Director of Medical Oncology and Thoracic Oncology trials lead at Monash Health and have accreditation with both Cabrini Health and South Eastern Private Hospital. I hold an adjunct associate professor position with Monash University and Sydney University. I returned to Australia in early 2022 after completing a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.

I am Primary Investigator on multiple Phase I to III commercial, collaborative and academic studies. In addition, I am the associate editor for the Journal of Thoracic Oncology Clinical Research Reports published by the IASLC. I have also published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts, am a regular invited speaker both nationally and internationally and have been successful at competitive grant funding. I am the Small cell lung cancer and Mesothelioma scientific committee co-chair for TOGA and IASLC Basic and Translational Science committee member.
