General Surgeon, Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic Surgeon, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon

I am an Upper GI surgeon offering specialist surgery for gallstones, cancer and other disorders of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder and bile ducts (HPB surgery). I also perform key-hole surgery (robotic and laparoscopic surgery) for many upper gastrointestinal disorders, including weight loss surgery as well as open and robotic hernia surgery.

I am a Professor in the Department of Surgery, School of Translational Medicine, Monash University with a strong academic and research interest leading a number of national and statewide research projects and clinical trials.

I am also a military and trauma surgeon with the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps. I am a member of the Australian New Zealand HPB Association, ANZ Gastro-Oesophageal Surgery Association, ANZ Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society, the American HPB Association, the International HPB Association, the Society of Surgical Oncology and the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group.
