I am a psychiatrist with diverse clinical experience, now specialising in Psycho-Oncology – supporting Oncology and Palliative Care patients (and their families) throughout their illness journeys. I hold a public co-appointment at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre within the Adult (Outpatient / Consultation-Liaison) Psychiatry Service, and am also the primary psychiatrist for their Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer team.

After gaining Fellowship in 2018 with an Advanced Training Certificate in Forensic Psychiatry, I began my career within the Criminal Justice system – initially as the Acute Inpatient Psychiatrist at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (women’s prison), expanding into both men and women’s regional outpatient prison clinics before transitioning back into public hospital and private mental health care.

Alongside my Psycho-Oncology work, I maintain a limited role as a sessional member of the Mental Health Tribunal; and a small General Adult Psychiatry private practice at The Victoria Clinic.

I employ an individualised, bio-psychotherapeutic approach (prioritising therapy / emotional support, and medication where necessary) to manage presentations of all degrees of complexity, and am a passionate advocate for each of my patients.
