Dr Jath Palasubramaniam

I am a consultant cardiologist who joined Cabrini in 2025. I completed my medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2007, followed by cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital. I then undertook further fellowship training at Western Health and the Austin Hospital, where I developed expertise in interventional and structural cardiology.

My practice is based in Melbourne as well as the Gippsland and Bass Coast regions. I hold appointments at Cabrini Hospital and the Alfred Hospital, where I consult and perform a wide range of interventional and structural cardiology procedures. In Warragul, I see patients at the West Gippsland Hospital Consulting Suites and the Barkly Street Rooms of Baw Baw Physicians, and I also have appointments at Latrobe Regional Hospital and Bass Coast Health.

I care for patients with a broad range of cardiac conditions, with a particular focus on preventative cardiology. My interests include hypertension and lipid management, chest pain evaluation and ischaemic heart disease, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of valvular and other structural heart diseases.
