Dr Josh Hurwitz

I am a dedicated Medical Oncologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a range of oncological conditions. My clinical interests include breast, genitourinary, and skin cancers, as well as involvement in clinical trials to advance cancer treatment.

To deepen my expertise, I undertook a breast and genitourinary cancer fellowship at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and The Kinghorn Cancer Centre, where I had the privilege of working under internationally renowned leaders, Professor Elgene Lim and Professor Anthony Joshua. Additionally, I completed an observership at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, gaining invaluable insights into cutting-edge oncological care.

I am committed to delivering evidence-based, gold-standard care while maintaining a compassionate and holistic approach to each patient’s journey. My passion for best practices extends to research and education, with my work published both nationally and internationally. I also co-host the global oncology education podcast Oncology for the Inquisitive Mind, aiming to share knowledge and insights with healthcare professionals worldwide.

I hold a public appointment at Monash Health, where I am actively engaged in providing comprehensive care and contributing to advancements in cancer treatment and education.
