Dr Maciej Tatarczuch
Haematologist/Oncologist
I am a clinical and laboratory haematologist, holding fellowships with both the RACP and RCPA.
I graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery, and was awarded the Sister Christina Welsford Haematology Prize. I undertook specialist training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Melbourne Pathology, and completed a fellowship at Oxford University Hospital Trust in the UK. I subsequently spent seven years at Monash Health as a lymphoma fellow and trials physician, during which time I completed a PhD titled Optimising Outcomes in Extranodal Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
I consult at Cabrini Brighton, Bayside Haematology Mentone and Holmesglen Private Hospital, and hold a consultant position at Alfred Health.
My practice focuses on the treatment of haematological cancers, clotting and bleeding disorders, cytopenias and iron deficiency, with a strong emphasis on patient-centred, holistic care.
