Dr Madhuni Herath

I am an Endocrinologist with expertise in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease.

I am a staff specialist at the Monash Health and Western Health Osteoporosis & Metabolic Bone Services and hold an Honorary VMO position with The Alfred Osteoporosis & Metabolic Bone Service. I’m finalising my PhD thesis on understanding bone fragility in younger adults, conducted through Monash University and the Hudson Institute of Medical Research and am the recipient of a National Health and Medical Research Council Postgraduate Research Scholarship.

I graduated from Monash University and completed my Endocrine training through Monash Health and Royal Hobart Hospital, gaining broad experience in managing diabetes and general endocrine pathology including pituitary and neuroendocrine disease. I also trained in men’s health, completing an Andrology Fellowship through Monash Health.
