I’m a specialist ophthalmologist with a particular interest in cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and inflammatory eye diseases. I’m passionate about delivering patient-centred care and helping my patients make well-informed decisions about their eye health and treatment options.

I completed my medical degree with Honours at Monash University, where I was awarded the Sir John Monash Scholarship for academic excellence. My interest in research led me to undertake a PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute through the University of Melbourne, supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council Scholarship. My research focused on the immune system, which continues to inform my clinical understanding of inflammatory eye disease.

My ophthalmology training was completed at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, followed by further subspecialty experience as the Cataract Fellow at Monash Health. I then undertook advanced fellowship training in Medical Retina and Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

Since returning to Melbourne, I’ve been fortunate to hold consultant positions at both The Alfred Hospital and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, working within the Medical Retina and Uveitis Services. I remain actively involved in clinical research and am deeply committed to public healthcare. As Director of Clinical Training at The Alfred, I also have a strong focus on teaching and supervising ophthalmologists in training.

I’m a proud member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and I continue to pursue the highest standards of care for my patients.
