Dr Vered Buchholz Harari
General Surgeon, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon
I am an Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric and General Surgeon.
I completed my Upper Gastrointestinal surgical training in Australia across leading tertiary centres including Fiona Stanley Hospital, Alfred Health and Austin Health. I further advanced my subspecialty expertise through international fellowships in the United Kingdom, undertaking an Oesophago-gastric Cancer Surgery Fellowship at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London, followed by a dedicated Robotic Upper GI Surgery Fellowship at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust.
I specialise in upper gastrointestinal surgery, with a focus on oesophageal and gastric cancer, minimally invasive cancer surgery, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and hiatus hernia, as well as complex swallowing disorders such as achalasia and gastroparesis. I also provide weight-loss (bariatric) surgery. In addition, I manage a broad range of general surgical conditions including gallbladder disease and abdominal wall hernias, with a particular interest in robotic-assisted hernia repair.
I am committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care, offering advanced minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, to optimise outcomes and support faster recovery.
I consult and practice at Cabrini Malvern.
