Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation Program – now open

The Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation Program builds upon the Cabrini Cancer Exercise and Wellness Centre’s existing oncology rehabilitation programs and aims to provide specialist support, education, and individually tailored exercise to make positive changes to patients’ health and wellbeing. The program will run for a period of six weeks, meeting twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Program will consist of a combination of exercise sessions and educational seminars. The exercise sessions will focus on improving strength, balance, and exercise capacity. The educational sessions will provide valuable information on topics such as nutrition, pelvic floor, wellbeing, and positive psychology to help patients make informed decisions about their overall health and improve their quality of life.

A medical referral is required to access the program. The referral form and more is available on the Cabrini website – please tick “Prostate program” on the form.

This program may be covered by private hospital insurance (depending on health fund/level of cover).

For more information, you can reach Angela Jones, Wellness Centre Coordinator, on 0455 406 097 or wellnesscoordinator@cabrini.org.au, or our Access team on 9508 1700.
