In addition to surgical and oncological services, we can support you with other care needs, such as: rehabilitation, education, community support, and palliative and supportive care. Please contact our neuro-oncology nurses on (03) 9508 1514 and they will help you access our programs.

For urgent cases please call our 24/7 brain tumour hotline: 1800 BRAIN. We will give you an immediate neurosurgical consultation for all brain tumours found through CT or MRI. We will immediately triage your patients and ensure they receive rapid access to appropriate care.

Alternatively, please complete our Brain Cancer Online Referral form.

Referrals to Cabrini’s medical services can be made directly to any of our specialists, including our neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists. To find a specialist please visit our Find a Doctor directory.

Alternatively, if the matter is urgent, the Cabrini Malvern Emergency Department (ED) is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The ED team can provide a referral to the most appropriate specialist to meet your patients’ need.

When you choose Cabrini for your care, you will also be connected to our Neuro-oncology Program. This program is Australia’s only dedicated service for patients with primary brain tumours which extends care from hospital into your home. Your healthcare team will integrate your care from the hospital bed to your home, allowing us to guide you and your family every step of the way, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

Our Nurses will meet with you after your brain cancer diagnosis or when you access our continuing care programs, and work alongside your doctors and allied health professionals to address your physical and mental health needs. The aim of the program is to help patients to live well in their own environment and support carers to ensure they are providing safe and comfortable care.
