Cabrini Chair, Sylvia Falzon AM
Two outstanding Cabrini leaders have been recognised in this year’s Australia Day Honours List.
Our Board Chair, Sylvia Falzon AM, was awarded Membership of the Order of Australia for significant service to community health, corporate governance, and to the museums and finance sectors.
Sylvia was appointed to our Board in 2010 and has been Chair since 2018, where she oversees the overall governance, strategic direction, and performance of Cabrini Health. With extensive experience across multiple sectors including health, aged care, retail and financial services, and non-executive director roles at organisations including Museums Victoria, Sylvia’s contribution to both corporate and community is far-reaching.
“As Chair of both the Cabrini Australia and Cabrini Foundation Boards, this is worthy recognition of Sylvia’s outstanding leadership and significant contribution to Cabrini and the broader community,” Cabrini Chief Executive Sue Williams said.
Di McDonald, a member of the Cabrini Foundation Board for almost seven years, was also recognised in the Honours List with an Order of Australia Medal. Di has contributed significantly to our philanthropic efforts during her tenure.
Congratulations Sylvia and Di. We are very lucky to have you in leadership roles within our organisation.
